根据爱尔兰传统民歌《Danny Boy》获得了创作灵感，由Secret Garden的Lovland作曲成为世界上最适合被钢琴和小提琴演奏的经典曲目，之后由爱尔兰小说家Brendan Graham作词，并于2001年爱尔兰歌手Brian Kennedy首次延长，当即占据各大排行榜冠军的位置长达十几周。仅2004年《You Raise Me Up》就在美国的电台播放了500，000多次，4次获得Gospel Music Awards，包括年度最佳歌曲。如今，这首赞扬母爱的经典歌曲已经在世界各地用不同语言录制了125次以上。

除了原版，最喜欢Josh Groban这个版本，虽然他的Closer无法如他的第一张专辑那样让我惊喜。即便是天籁美声，还是会让人期待变化所带来的新鲜感的。。最喜欢的，还是那个二十出头的Josh，那揉合了古典气质，一尘不染的声音，使人不自觉地热爱Classical Pop。
